Dan Bilzerian quite simply is one of the most renown social influencers on the planet. His Snapchat boasts over 9 million subscribers and his engagement is off the charts, with posts gaining views in the tens of millions. When it comes to Instagram, Bilzerian’s page boasts 33.6 million subscribers at the time of this article, while Facebook has over 15 million subscribers. These are not merely subscribers – they’re superfans! Bilzerian has managed to tantalize the senses of millions of adorning fans who in all reality, probably wish they lived the lifestyle that has become a showcase of his brand – Ignite. Ignite began its commercial operations as a cannabis and CBD brand, but later expanded into e-cigarettes, water, vodka, spirits, and apparel gear.
Ignite has been the platform from which has made Dan Bilzerian a modern-day Hugh Hefner meets James Bond. Often seen flying in his Gulfstream painted solid black (which has a whopping price tag of approximately $45 million), the plane is even adorned with a massive Ignite logo on the tail – a symbol that has become synonymous with Bilzerian.

Inside the luxury private jet, the custom interior is lavishly furnished with Hermes pillows and blankets and Ignite branded luxury goods. What has also become synonymous with Bilzerian are the dozens, if not hundreds, of supermodels that have worn the branded bull and horns Ignite logo on scantily clad clothing and bikinis. For the women, it’s not only an opportunity to be featured on a social platform on a massive scale, but the chance to travel the world in luxury. Often, Bilzerian will be seen on his social media traveling with harems, or as Bilzerian calls them “my hens”, to all parts of the world.
Dan Bilzerian was born on December 7, 1980, in Tampa, Florida, the son of corporate takeover specialist Paul Bilzerian and Terri Steffen. He attended the University of Florida, majoring in Business and Criminology before pursuing a career as a professional poker player. Somewhat of a self-proclaimed mercenary, Bilzerian is also known for his stint in the Navy Seal Program. He attempted Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training several times. SOFREP, a news and opinion website, revealed that Bilzerian was in fact “in BUD/S 229, 238, and 239 before being dropped from training with class 239 for a safety violation on the shooting range.”
Probably a blessing in disguise, Bilzerian went back to his roots and found success in his passion for branding and marketing. The company Ignite was born and set roots down in Toronto, Canada. While the public listing of the Canadian company was met with mediocre reviews, the brand’s intrinsic value stands firmly on the historic unprecedented marketing of the Ignite brand.
The company was taken private in 2022 and Bilzerian remains the company Chairman. The company website hosts a photograph of Bilzerian and a mission statement:
If you ever wondered about Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg being known for showing up to meetings in pajamas, looking quintessentially geekish, Bilzerian could be considered the antithesis, landing on the opposite side of the spectrum. Bilzerian is widely known for his appearances in a casual white V-neck t shirt, short shorts, and white tennis shoes or flip flops.
But all is not fun and games for the self-proclaimed “King of Instagram”. Bilzerian is philanthropic with his wealth, and in a paying-it-forward fashion, the social icon has been a financial contributor to various charities and used his notoriety as a world-class poker player to raise funds in celebrity tournaments for medical research.
